（二）The required documents

　　1、Passport：One original passport with a blank visa page and a copy of the passport photo information page, valid for more than 6 months.

　　2、Visa application form and photo: One copy “the Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China” and one recent color passport photo on a light background.

　　3、Proof of legal stay or residence (for those applying for visas outside the country of nationality). If you are not applying for a visa in your country of nationality, you need to provide both the original and a copy of valid proof of legal stay, residence, work ,study or a valid visa in the host country.

　　4、Original Chinese Passport or Original Chinese Visa (Applicable to those who had Chinese nationality before obtaining foreign nationality): If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you must provide the original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport photo information page; if you have obtained a Chinese visa and have applied for a new foreign passport, you must provide the original foreign passport photo information page and copy of your Chinese visa (if the name recorded in the new passport is inconsistent with the original passport, you must also provide official documents to show evidence of the change of name.)

　　5、One of the following materials

　　（1）The Employment Permit Certificate for Foreigners issued by the Human Resources and Social Security Department. If the working period does not exceed 90 days, a “Certificate of Short-term Work for Foreigners in China” also must be provided, and the applicant must apply for the visa before the start date indicated on the “Certificate of Short-term Work for Foreigners in China”. The working period must not exceed the period stated in the “Certificate of Short-term Work of Foreigners in China”.

　　（2）"Foreign Expert Work Permit" or "Foreign Work Permit Notice" issued by the Foreign Experts Bureau;

　　（3）Registration Certificate of Permanent Representative Office of Foreign (Regional) Enterprise Issued by the Administration for Industry and Commerce;

　　（4）Approval for commercial performance issued by the competent cultural administration (only applicable to applicants coming to China for commercial performance); if the performance period does not exceed 90 days, a “Certificate of Short-term Work for Foreigners in China” also must be provided, and the applicant must apply for the visa before the start date indicated on the “Certificate of Short-term Work for Foreigners in China”, the performance period must not exceed the period stated in the “Certificate of Short-term Work of Foreigners in China”.

　　（5）Invitation Letter for Foreigners to engage in Offshore Oil Operations in the People's Republic of China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation;

Please note: after entering China, the holder must apply for a residence permit at the exit and entry administration department of the public security agency of the local people's government at or above the county level of the intended place of residence within 30 days, except where the stay period is 30 days and the visa is marked “Working time must not exceed the period indicated in the proof of work”.
